Estes Awarded as Top Employer for Women in Transportation

Once again, Estes has been named as one of the Top 50 Companies for Women to Work For in Transportation by the Women In Trucking Association, Inc. (WIT).

“Estes prides itself in being a company that empowers women to take on any position throughout our organization, and, more importantly, fully supports them in those roles,” said Carrie Johnstone, vice president of customer experience and innovation. “It’s an honor to receive this distinction recognizing all of the women at Estes.”

WIT recognizes companies with corporate cultures that foster gender diversity, competitive compensation and benefits, flexible hours and work requirements, professional development opportunities, and career advancement opportunities.

“Companies named to this prestigious list must demonstrate corporate attributes that are essential to any successful enterprise committed to gender diversity as part of their corporate strategy. This is the sixth year of this prestigious recognition program, and it garnered a record number of more than 27,000 votes to identify and validate the final companies named to the list,” says Brian Witt, Strategic Advisor for WIT.

Estes also has been named a top employer for women by Forbes for two consecutive years.
